Bullfrog Journal Page

 

I started with a painted background. It kind of reminded me of water so I chose a bullfrog for the subject matter.

The bullfrog is starting to emerge.

Some frogs have long tongues, probably not quite as long as this one. This one is gross! My excuse is “it is a frog…” I also added a fly who thinks it is out of the frog’s reach.

“The ability to hold your tongue even if you have a lot to say”!

The background looks like it needs more layers, more depth, more detail…

So I draw a side view and a tadpole using only a teal colored pencil. I will probably add some more journaling. For now I will hold my tongue.
